Chestnut Ridge, NY – January 12, 2015 – BioHitech America, a green technology company that provides an innovative data-driven solution for food waste removal, announced a partnership with Avangard Innovative, the largest recycler in the Americas with operations in 12 countries. This partnership adds yet another member to AI’s revolutionary Natura Zero™ worldwide network of waste solutions providers, which through zero waste initiatives, help customers monetize recyclables. BioHitech America will further AI’s passionate mission of zero waste to landfills by now being able to offer Natura Zero™ clients a cost-effective, environmentally responsible solution for food waste disposal.
“Our Natura Zero™ program continues to deliver total solutions to zero waste and ensures our clients minimize waste while maximizing all recyclables to drive value and profitability. This venture with BioHitech America helps us achieve and enhance our goals while ensuring our food-service customers meet theirs,” said Avangard Innovative CEO, Rick Perez.
The Natura Zero™ program launched in 2013 to focus on zero waste to landfill and with the addition of BioHitech America, the program can focus on the organics processing side. The program utilizes proprietary technology and software to track, report, analyze and audit customer waste and recyclables. “We truly want to build and create a sustainable program that is environmentally, socially, and economically friendly and we believe that through our Natura Zero™, we can achieve that together,” Perez added.
BioHitech America’s unique solution to food waste combines green technology with the power of Big Data to offer transparency, savings, and a sustainable future. The company’s Eco-Safe Digester, an on-site aerobic digester, eliminates up to 2,400 pounds of food waste in a 24-hour period by converting it into nutrient-neutral water and transporting the water safely through standard sewer lines. The BioHitech Cloud, a technology platform hosted by Amazon, measures key metrics to optimize the food waste disposal process.
“We are thrilled to partner with Avangard Innovative and to continue our international sustainability efforts,” said Frank E. Celli, CEO of BioHitech America. “As we strive to provide a sustainable solution that is environmentally, socially, and economically friendly, our new partnership with Rick, the Avangard Innovative team and Natura Zero™ program will expedite our global expansion goals." Celli added. As businesses continue to seek customized solutions for their waste needs that allow them to recoup costs and ensure they are doing their part in corporate social responsibility, having the resources, such as those provided through Natura Zero™ and its partnerships, will continue to be pivotal as we strive for zero waste solutions.
